Introduction
After completing my first contributions to WP Polyglots, I began to feel more confident with the translation process and the tools used by the WordPress community. With each new translation session, I became more familiar with GlotPress and improved my ability to review and submit suggestions.
My Experience
As I continued contributing to the Weaver Xtreme – Spanish (Costa Rica) (es_CR) project, I became more comfortable identifying untranslated strings, understanding their context, and creating translations that were clear and natural for local users.
Throughout this process, I improved my attention to detail and learned to follow WordPress translation guidelines more effectively. Each contribution helped me better understand the importance of consistency, accuracy, and collaboration within an open-source project.
Seeing my progress encouraged me to continue learning and contribute more actively to the WordPress community.
What I Learned
This experience showed me that contributing to WP Polyglots is a continuous learning process. I learned that even small translation contributions can have a meaningful impact by improving the experience of WordPress users around the world.
I also developed better communication, research, and localization skills while becoming more familiar with how global open-source communities work.
